Åndria's Artist Statement:

Each work of art tells a story that develops as I fill the canvas with fields of color, shapes and textures - each work with its own voice. I aim to preserve the purity and innocence of life in my work. No matter how simple the components of each piece may seem, they symbolize relationships, world events, community issues, or matters close to the heart. This underlying tale is often behind the titles I choose. By working with acrylic mediums I am able to build textures and manipulate the surface of my canvas as the image unfolds in my mind.
I anticipate a good challenge with every series and strive to explore new styles and expressions within my genre. My persistent goal is to communicate peace and refreshment through my art, hoping my audience will find echoes of places or relationships they’ve experienced or imagined. For me, creating art is an emotional and intellectual experience, an intense voyage of self-expression welcoming viewers to engage in their own journey.
